Job summary

Trane Supply seeks a Senior Controls Technician to lead configuration, programming, checkout, and commissioning of complex building automation systems across the U.S. You will support Field Technicians and Project teams, maintaining standards while expanding expertise in Trane and third-party controls.

This highly physical role requires travel and collaboration with multiple offices. You will leverage OEM-level training, pursue career growth within Trane Technologies, and contribute to testing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC controls experience (Technician or Project Specialist).
• Proficiency in HVAC and building automation systems and temperature controls.
• Experience programming, commissioning, and startup of Trane control systems.
• Familiarity with control platforms: Automated Logic, Distech, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Tridium/Niagara.
• Minimum 2-year degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology or Building Automation Systems or related field.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to travel 75%+.

Responsibilities

• Configure, program, checkout and commission complex building automation systems requiring high attention to detail.
• Review and maintain installation and programming standards.
• Acquire and maintain expertise in Trane Controls products and third-party devices.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Trane controls.
• Provide support and remote connected support for field installations.
• Advise and guide Field Technicians, Engineers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by collaborating with customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
