Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to join our Controls Product Management team in Minnesota. You will act as a technical product expert, bridging development and field teams to ensure our building controls are easy to apply, install, and support.

You will drive field outreach, author high-impact literature, lead product training, and manage the enhancement pipeline to continuously improve customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• 3–5+ years in HVAC, building automation, or controls
• Strong knowledge of BAS, BACnet, Modbus, and IoT standards
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills
• Experience delivering technical training

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support to field offices, sales channels, and customers.
• Own and prioritize product enhancements and feature requests.
• Create and maintain installation manuals, catalogs, specs.
• Design and deliver technical training programs and demonstrations.
• Lead pilot testing during NPI and field outreach.
