Job summary

Trane Technologies, a leader in climate solutions, seeks a Product Engineer to bridge development and field teams. You will ensure builds are easy to apply, install, and support while driving field outreach and technically rich literature.

You will translate field feedback into actionable requirements, author guides, and lead training to empower offices and partners in delivering sustainable, smart building solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• 3–5+ years of experience in HVAC/building automation/controls or technical product engineering.
• Strong understanding of BAS, control sequences, IT networks, and communication protocols such as BACnet and Modbus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the definitive technical subject matter expert on assigned building controls products and provide advanced application support to field offices, sales channels, and customers.
• Own and prioritize the product enhancement and feature request pipeline with Product Managers and R&D teams.
• Author, review, and maintain high-quality technical literature, installation manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Design and deliver technical training programs, product demonstrations, and troubleshooting workshops for internal engineers and field teams.
• Lead NPI field outreach, pilot testing, and ensure new offerings are optimized for application and serviceability.
• Monitor field product quality and coordinate with engineering to drive rapid resolution and updates.
