Job summary

Community Action in Washington County, OR, is seeking a Community Resource Advocate II for the Community Connect program. This in-person role requires bilingual Spanish language skills and a commitment to equity, trauma‑informed practices, and helping families access housing and essential services.

You will conduct assessments, refer clients to housing programs, enter data accurately, manage walk-ins, and sometimes engage in street outreach.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish required (verbal and written).
• 6+ months of customer service experience or lived experience.
• Experience with data entry and accurate record-keeping.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of professionals and social service agencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to equity, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person services to clients at the Community Connect office.
• Conduct face-to-face and telephonic assessments for homeless or at-risk households for multiple programs.
• Participate in a rotation of duties including walk-ins and supporting team members.
• Potentially engage in street outreach to build relationships with unsheltered individuals.
• Determine eligibility and make referrals to Washington County housing programs.
• Accurately enter client information into the database and maintain documentation.
• Explain and encourage use of services for basic needs, health, and housing.
• Maintain a clean, confidential, and efficient workspace.
