Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ months customer service experience.
• Must be fully bilingual (verbal and written) in Arabic, Chinese, Farci, Russian, Somali, or Spanish.
• Intermediate computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and related software programs.
• Experience with data entry and working with diverse professionals and social service agencies.

Responsibilities

• Interview low-income households by phone or in person to determine eligibility for Utility Assistance programs.
• Determine eligibility and process payments from multiple funding sources per guidelines.
• Negotiate with utility companies to prevent disconnections or restore service.
• Enter client information, required documentation, and payments into statewide databases and systems.
• Maintain confidential client records and provide information on energy conservation and utility policies.
