Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ months customer service experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and related software programs.
• Data entry with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience collaborating with diverse professionals and social service agencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone-based or face-to-face interviews to determine eligibility for Utility Assistance programs.
• Accurately determine eligibility and process payments from LIHEAP, LIHWA, OEAP, OREF and similar funds per guidelines.
• Negotiate with utility companies to prevent service disconnects or restore service.
• Enter detailed client information and payments into statewide databases and systems of record.
• Maintain real-time, confidential client records including billing and ID documents.
• Provide information on energy conservation, policy, payment plans and other services.
• Engage in outreach and enrollment events to educate communities about services.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety policies and ethics.
