Job summary

Independent Living Association, Inc. is seeking a full-time psychologist to provide behavioral and psychological services in our Staten Island residences. You will assess functioning, develop and monitor treatment plans, and train staff to implement protocols.

You will coordinate with the IDT and advocate for individuals alongside external providers. Responsibilities include data review, HIPAA compliance, consent management, and participation in team and facility meetings.

Qualifications

• Masters in Psychology or related field required.
• One to Three, (1-3) years’ experience working with the DD population; computer literate, detail-oriented and have excellent verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess consumer functioning using standardized instruments and informal methods.
• Report findings and recommendations to the IDT and track consumer progress at team meetings.
• Develop behavioral treatment and monitoring plans; train staff on plans and data collection.
• Monitor progress via formal data review and ISP meetings; prepare semi-annual reports.
• Act as primary advocate for individuals with outside mental health providers and prepare consults.
• Attend monthly team and residential staff meetings; maintain confidentiality and HIPAA practices.
• Obtain informed consent for potential rights restrictions and inform relevant parties.
• Attend HRC meetings and maintain proper forms at the facility for review.
• Perform additional duties as required.
