Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a behavior support specialist to work on the school floor, supporting students with intensive behavioral needs and implementing customized behavior plans using PBIS and CASE.

You will collaborate with teachers and families, monitor progress, document incidents, and apply de-escalation and safety strategies within a supportive, inclusive environment across SESI’s network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree highly preferred.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive needs.
• Demonstrates emotional consistency and resilience under stress.
• Flexible and willing to support where needed to ensure safety and well-being.

Responsabilités

• Work with diverse students across developmental, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Provide monitoring and support throughout the school site.
• Assist in creating and implementing behavior support plans.
• Document incidents and progress toward goals.
• Apply positive behavioral interventions and school incentive programs.
• Assist with de-escalation and crisis management when needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Engage with parents to facilitate communication.
