Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with IEP goals in special and alternative education settings.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to implement behavior plans and assist in developing life skills, while recording data and progress. Role emphasizes one-on-one support, collaboration with teachers and parents, and applying PBIS-based strategies to create a positive learning environment; HS diploma required, experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in educational settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned student per IEP with customized behavior support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic guidance.
• Develop and modify behavior support plans and implement them; record progress and incidents.
• Use de-escalation techniques and, if necessary, crisis management to ensure safety.
• Communicate effectively with parents and supervise students as needed.
