Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) invites applicants for a Behavior Support Specialist to help students with intensive behavioral needs. You will collaborate with teachers, leaders, and families to implement individualized plans and positive behavioral interventions.

You will monitor progress, document incidents, and support de-escalation and safety while fostering an inclusive learning environment across the school site.

Qualifications

• Experience in educational settings implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs.
• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Demonstrates calm, positive demeanor under stress.
• Willingness to support across settings to ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to support students with intensive behavioral needs.
• Monitor and support across the school site.
• Assist in creating and implementing behavior support plans.
• Record and track behavioral incidents and progress.
• Use positive behavioral interventions and school incentives.
• Assist with de-escalation, crisis management, and safety.
• Foster inclusive environment and social/behavioral skill development.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for differentiated support.
• Participate in debriefings after incidents.
• Communicate with parents.
