Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Support Specialist to collaborate with school staff and provide customized behavior support using data-driven PBIS approaches.

You will work with students with intensive needs in in-district classrooms and standalone programs across diverse educational settings. You will document progress, implement behavior plans, and participate in debriefings with staff to ensure student safety and growth.

Qualifications

• Must have emotional consistency and resilience to handle stressful situations.
• Flexibility and willingness to jump in and support where needed for safety.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students with intensive behavioral needs.
• Provide consistent monitoring and support across the school site.
• Assist in creating and implementing behavior support plans.
• Document behavioral incidents and progress toward goals.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and crisis management when necessary.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
