Job summary

Western Rock Products in Saint George, Utah, is seeking an Asphalt Plant Grounds Person to support daily plant operations. The role involves performing manual tasks and operating heavy equipment under supervision, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will assist with pre-start checks, plant maintenance, and material transport while maintaining a clean, organized work area and complying with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; prior construction experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in safety meetings and follows OSHA/MSHA regulations.
• Operates heavy equipment such as front end loader and skidsteer as needed.
• Picks up and delivers construction materials to job sites.
• Performs daily plant pre-checks and assists in plant maintenance and repairs.
• Supports daily operations and helps prepare the plant for start-up and close-out.
