Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH Company, is seeking an Asphalt Groundsperson/Plant Laborer to support asphalt plant operations in Utah. The role involves manual tasks, safety compliance, and operating heavy equipment under supervisor guidance.

You will help prepare the plant for seasonal operations and perform shutdown procedures at season end. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and construction experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• May be subject to drug testing and physical agility testing.

Responsibilities

• Participates in daily THINK/TRACK meetings and weekly safety meetings.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe procedures.
• Operate front end loader, skidsteer, end dump truck and other heavy equipment as needed.
• Walk the plant, monitor production, and perform maintenance pre-checks.
• Work night shift and assist in plant production and maintenance as required.

Valid driver’s license

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
