Job summary

Staker Parson Companies in Draper, UT seeks an Asphalt Plant Groundsperson to safely assist at our asphalt plant, performing a variety of manual duties under supervision.

Responsibilities include plant operation support, daily pre-checks, equipment maintenance, and night shift work, with emphasis on safety and teamwork. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, construction experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read instructions and work with others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous related experience in construction is a plus.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and short correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Participates in daily THINK/TRACK meetings and weekly safety meetings.
• Follow OSHA/MSHA safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure a safe work environment and operate tools/equipment safely.
• Assist in plant production and monitor plant during production.
• Perform daily maintenance pre-checks on plant and equipment.
• Operate front end loader, skidsteer, end dump truck as needed.
• Perform plant maintenance and repairs as required.
• Work night shift.
