Job summary

Cincinnati Animal CARE is seeking an Outcomes Coordinator to support live outcomes for shelter animals. You will coordinate daily operations, track data, manage placements, and work with Medical, Behaviour, Foster, Community Support, and Animal Care teams to maximize outcomes and ensure compassionate, efficient service for adopters and the community.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in animal welfare, strong communication, data literacy, and a commitment to humane, ethical practices.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in animal welfare or a related field; placements experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic animal behaviour and progressive shelter practices.
• Proven problem-solving skills with ability to think critically and creatively.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences within and outside the organisation.
• Ability to manage relationships with rescue partners, staff, volunteers and community members.
• Detail-oriented with ability to maintain accurate records and adhere to protocols.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations to maximize live outcomes for shelter animals and track data and placements.
• Oversee completion of adoption and outcome processes, verify medical records, microchips and licences.
• Maintain relationships with rescue partners and act as primary contact for the organisation.
• Monitor programme success and propose data-driven improvements.
• Provide high-level customer service to visitors, adopters, and community members.
• Coordinate scheduling of animal showings and releases, balancing welfare with customer needs.
• Collaborate with Medical, Behaviour, Foster, Community Support and Animal Care to facilitate placements.
• Monitor inventory and ensure essential supplies are stocked.
• Guide Outcomes Specialists and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Educate the public and promote the organisation’s mission and adoption philosophies.
• Support training for new staff and volunteers; ensure protocol adherence.
• Report incidents or programme needs to the Outcomes Manager; perform other duties as assigned.
