Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Lab Technician for the Anatomic Pathology-Ref Lab. You will handle receipt and preparation of specimens and perform waived and moderately complex tests under CLIA guidelines.

You may train new staff, assist in maintaining QC/QA systems, and support daily workflow while following safety standards in a high-demand healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree or higher with ASCP HT eligibility/registration.
• Willingness to cross-train in all areas of the Anatomic Pathology section and demonstrate competency.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, examine and process pathology specimens.
• Perform waived and moderately complex tests under CLIA '88 guidelines.
• Train new employees and support QC/QA procedures.
• Provide overview support in supervisor or coordinator's absence.
