Job summary

Mentoring Alliance is seeking a Part Time Child Care Worker to lead elementary students in enrichment activities after school, roughly 17–20 hours per week, during the school calendar year.

As a Christian ministry, the role emphasizes serving kids and families while modeling a Gospel-centered approach. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. in Tyler, TX, with non-exempt, part-time status.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age; High School Diploma or GED preferred and some post-secondary training highly preferred
• Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
• Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
• Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
• Valid driver’s license or Valid ID
• Legally allowed to work in the United States
• Have dependable transportation
• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
