Mentoring Alliance After School seeks a Youth Mentor to lead enrichment activities for elementary students in an after-school setting. The position is non-exempt, part-time, averaging 17–20 hours per week, with a schedule Monday–Friday 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. in Abilene, TX.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check.
• CPR/First Aid certification mandatory.
• Have a passion for working with elementary school children.
• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued.
• Valid driver's license or valid ID and ability to work in the United States.
• Available Monday–Friday 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. during the school year.

Responsibilities

• Lead elementary students in enrichment activities after school.
• Foster youth development and be a positive role model.
• Support the Mentoring Alliance’s mission and faith-based values.
• Collaborate with staff to implement program goals.
