The Mentoring Alliance in Tyler, TX seeks a Part Time Child Care Worker to support its After School team by leading enriching activities for elementary students and modeling a faith-centered, developmental approach. This part-time, non-exempt role offers a meaningful chance to impact families and communities.

Ideal candidates are 17+, with a high school diploma or GED, and a passion for working with children.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; post-secondary training valued.
• Passion for working with elementary-age children.
• Experience with children is a plus.
• Monday–Friday 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. availability during the school year.
• CPR/First Aid certification is mandatory.
• Background/Sex offender check required.
• Valid driver’s license or valid ID.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Dependable transportation; Spanish-speaking ability is valued.

Responsabilités

• Lead enrichment activities for elementary students after school.
• Foster youth development and maintain a positive, faith-based environment.
• Ensure safety and supervision during program hours.
• Coordinate with program staff to support kids’ needs.
