Job summary

SPARKS Mentoring Program Site Coordinator in Orono is an after-school role managed by the Orono School District. You will coordinate site logistics, plan activities and family events, supervise volunteers and students, and assist licensed teachers with academics.

The position requires strong communication, collaboration, and a commitment to helping students achieve mastery. Hours are 2:45–5:15 pm on Mon/Wed and Tue/Thu, 2–4 days weekly, on-site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site logistics with the host organization and maintain the relationship.
• Plan activity schedules, coordinate activities, snacks, and family events.
• Supervise volunteers and children during program hours (2:45–5:15 pm on Mon/Wed and Tue/Thu).
• Communicate with students and families to encourage participation.
• Recruit volunteers, manage scheduling and communications, and engage community partners.
• Assist licensed teachers with the academic portions of the program.
