SPARKS Mentoring Program Site Coordinator in Orono is an after-school role managed by the Orono School District. You will coordinate site logistics, plan activities and family events, supervise volunteers and students, and assist licensed teachers with academics.
The position requires strong communication, collaboration, and a commitment to helping students achieve mastery. Hours are 2:45–5:15 pm on Mon/Wed and Tue/Thu, 2–4 days weekly, on-site.
SPARKS is an after‑school, neighborhood‑based mentoring program for elementary and middle‑school students, provided by the Orono School District and coordinated by the Community Education department. The goal is to provide extra time and support to help the district close the achievement and opportunity gap for students with academic and financial need. A licensed teacher, the site coordinator, and community mentors work to create connections, provide academic support, teach and coach organizational skills, and encourage students.
2–4 days a week on site 2:45 – 5:15 pm, plus additional preparation time from home.
Program held at a community location in Maple Plain on Mondays and Wednesdays or Long Lake on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
