Conifer Realty in Jackson, NJ is seeking a Leasing Specialist for affordable housing to help connect people to homes. You will lead tours, market vacancies, process applications, and support residents while ensuring compliance with LIHTC and HUD programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of apartment leasing experience.
• 1 year experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD-Section 8, HOME, RD) required.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Basic math and data-entry abilities for rent collection and recordkeeping.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required; COS or TCS certification desired or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents, conduct tours, and highlight Conifer communities’ features.
• Drive occupancy by marketing available units and processing leasing applications and renewals.
• Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, and other affordable housing programs.
• Assist residents with rent collection, service requests, and community communications.
• Collaborate with maintenance and office staff to maintain property appearance and safety.
• Stay organized by managing reports, filing, and data entry.
