Conifer Realty is seeking a Leasing Specialist for its Jackson, NJ communities. In this role you’ll help residents find homes, maintain compliant processes, and deliver exceptional customer service across our affordable housing portfolio.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years leasing experience, familiarity with LIHTC/HUD programs, and proficiency in Yardi. A high school diploma and bilingual Spanish/English are pluses.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of apartment leasing experience preferred.
• 1 year experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD-Section 8, HOME, RD) required.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents, conduct tours, and highlight features of Conifer communities.
• Drive occupancy – market units, respond to inquiries, manage applications and renewals.
• Ensure compliance – process applications and recertifications under LIHTC/HUD or other programs.
• Deliver exceptional service – assist residents with rent collection, service requests, and communications.
• Support teamwork – coordinate with maintenance and office staff to uphold standards.
• Stay organized – manage reports, filing, and data entry for smooth operations.
