Job summary

Vivmark Residential in Virginia Beach (VA) is seeking an Affordable Housing Specialist to support administration and compliance of programs across communities. You will manage resident income certifications, coordinate recertifications, assist audits, and serve as a resource for on-site teams and external partners to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in affordable housing administration, knowledge of HUD and Fair Housing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years in affordable housing administration or compliance.
• Experience processing income certifications and recertifications.
• Knowledge of HUD programs and Fair Housing preferred.
• Experience supporting compliance audits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident income certifications for move-ins and annual renewals.
• Review income docs, verifications, and lease paperwork for compliance.
• Act as SME on HUD, Fair Housing, and program requirements.
• Guide on-site teams during new leases and move-ins for compliance.
• Respond to audits by gathering documents and addressing findings.
• Coordinate Section 8 documentation and waitlist management.
• Maintain accurate resident files and compliance records.
