Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one support in home-based or community settings, helping children and adults build independence, communication, and social skills.

You'll work with Board Certified Behavior Analysts to follow behavior-change plans, document progress, and create engaging, structured sessions. Must be 18+, with a high school diploma and relevant experience or coursework.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs and strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; 18+ years old.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in home-based or community settings.
• Help individuals build social and communication skills.
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately.
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
