Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one‑on‑one ABA support in home‑based or community‑based settings, helping children and adults build social and communication skills. You’ll work with Board Certified Behavior Analysts to implement behavior‑change plans and document progress.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Either completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development; or at least one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Work one‑on‑one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges
• Help individuals build social and communication skills
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session
