Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one support in home-based or community-based settings, helping children and/or adults build social and communication skills and follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

You will work alongside experienced professionals, document progress, and contribute to meaningful improvements in independence and connection for clients.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Age 18+ requirement.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges.
• Help individuals build social and communication skills.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately.
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session.
