Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. seeks a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one support in home-based or community-based settings, guided by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

You’ll help clients build independence and communication, with sessions designed to celebrate progress and achieve goals. You’ll work with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar challenges, creating structured interactions and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Either college coursework in psychology/education or at least one year working with children.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar needs.
• Help individuals build social and communication skills.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately.
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session.
