Job summary

National Wildlife Federation is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support the Program Operations team from Denver, CO, with a focus on financial and administrative tasks. The role works closely with operations managers and program leaders, collaborating with Finance, Philanthropy, Legal, HR and Accounts Payable.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of independent work while contributing to an inclusive, equitable workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as business administration or finance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines, working in teams and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as right hand to the Operations Manager and assist with logistics, contracts, procurement compliance and reimbursements.
  • Coordinate administrative processes: contracts, grant reports, invoices, approvals, and deadlines.
  • Review documents for accuracy and funder/internal policy compliance.
  • Ensure payments to vendors and manage staff expense reimbursements.
  • Support office needs: supplies, software requests, equipment, etc.
  • Develop meeting materials, organize logistics, take notes, and maintain files.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development with an equity focus.
  • Proactively track and complete assigned tasks and contribute to team solutions.
