Job summary

City Year seeks a Senior Learning and Instruction Manager to lead site learning strategy, coordinate the AmeriCorps Volunteer learning program, and supervise learning events and facilitator development. The role reports to the Senior Director of Learning and Instruction and requires strong curriculum design and data-informed improvement.

The position is year-round with in-person requirements, including a minimum four days at Philadelphia/Norristown offices and LDD venues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in education, business administration, human resources or comparable experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in curriculum development, adult learning, training and facilitation.
• Authorized documentation to work in the United States; background clearance to work with school-age children.
• City Year/AmeriCorps experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design a site learning strategy that centers on City Year culture and curriculum to drive corps development.
• Oversee yearlong learning scope and sequence, aligning onboarding to graduation and evolving needs.
• Coordinate major site learning events and manage learning calendars and logistics.
• Coach facilitators, provide feedback, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
