Qualifications

• Master’s degree in STEM, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling or a closely related field.
• Educational counseling skills required.
• Technical skills in accounting, budgeting, procurement, and grant/program management.
• Knowledge of urban education settings and confidential data handling.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and administer UBMS program activities; ensure compliance with funder and university guidelines.
• Directly supervise program staff including the Assistant Director and instructors/counselors.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise instructional staff; oversee curriculum implementation and college prep activities.
• Manage program budgets (nearly $400,000 annually) and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain partnerships with Nobles and UMass Boston; supervise contracts for space, services and activities.
• Oversee participant recruitment, screening and admissions based on eligibility and need.
