Job summary

UMass Boston seeks an Associate Director to oversee Upward Bound and Urban Scholars programs. You will recruit and guide students, supervise staff, and shape curricula to meet core requirements and funder goals.

You will coordinate internships, manage data and reporting, and lead summer components and field activities, collaborating across TRIO and Early College to deliver a cohesive college-access experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3–5 years of administrative experience required.
• Experience with academic counseling and college preparation preferred.
• Knowledge of MA curriculum frameworks and program regulations.
• Driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct student recruitment, admissions decisions, and caseload counseling.
• Supervise instructional staff and ensure alignment with MA Core Curriculum.
• Develop and implement program curricula and academic offerings.
• Coordinate internship components with employers and partner sites.
• Plan and supervise summer components and field trips.
