Job summary

Austin Pets Alive! is seeking a Full-Time Retail Marketing Specialist to lead day-to-day marketing for our thrift stores. You will drive local campaigns, grow foot traffic, and support new store openings, while amplifying the APA! mission through digital storytelling and community outreach.

You will manage social media, partner with APA!'s marketing teams, and help execute events and promotions across multiple Austin thrift locations. This is a hands-on role with weekend and event flexibility.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of retail marketing or related experience.
• Excellent copywriting and public speaking abilities.
• Comfortable on camera for social media and video content.
• Ability to travel to multiple store locations in the Austin metro area.

Responsibilities

• Design local promotional campaigns to drive foot traffic and retail revenue.
• Coordinate marketing plans for new thrift location openings.
• Manage thrift social media accounts with short-form video content.
• Collaborate with APA's social media team and attend regular meetings.
• Plan and support on-site events and donor engagement activities.
