Job summary

Austin Pets Alive! seeks a dedicated Thrift Store eCommerce Specialist to grow the Thrift Store platform and increase live releases. You will work with volunteers, manage online marketplaces, research item value, and prepare detailed product listings and reports.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in eCommerce, eMerchandising or a retail environment.
• Strong computer skills including Google Suite and online marketplaces.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to a volunteer-powered culture by partnering with volunteers during every shift.
• Work with volunteers to complete daily tasks in a collaborative, non-siloed manner.
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers to orient them to the program.
• Help retain volunteers through guidance, feedback, and appreciation.
• Manage and list items on online marketplaces (eBay, Instagram, Poshmark, Facebook Marketplace, Etsy).
• Input data to create professional, accurate product listings with images and descriptions.
• Package and ship merchandise cost-effectively, using recycled shipping materials.
• Coordinate with the Director of Retail Operations to meet revenue goals.
