Job summary

Alpha in Austin, TX is seeking a Program Director to coach Guides and students using performance data and direct feedback, holding both groups to measurable goals. You will lead live workshops, run motivation sessions, and ensure progress across cohorts.

You will build and refine playbooks, train Guides, and model excellence as the team expands, with relocation support provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Willing to work in person at an Alpha campus in Austin, TX or Scottsdale, AZ.
• At least 5 years working with elementary-aged children (roughly ages 5 to 9).
• Experience leading a team of 5+ people with hiring/removal authority based on performance.
• Experience launching or growing a program, team, or initiative from scratch.
• Comfortable in a school that rejects traditional teaching methods.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coach Guides and students using performance data and direct feedback to meet measurable goals.
• Facilitate one-hour live workshops for K-3 students on life skills and feedback.
• Conduct motivation sessions linking each child's goals to academic progress.
• Build and refine playbooks to scale best practices across the team.
• Train Guides on playbooks and model excellence as the team grows.
