Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Learning and Development Manager to lead a K-3 cohort, coach Guides, and drive measurable student outcomes. In Austin, you’ll work in person, using data to tailor coaching and workshops that build life skills and academic progress.

You will own playbooks, train Guides, and scale best practices while staying hands-on with your cohort daily in a fast-moving, outcome-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, Child Development, or a related field
• At least 5 years working with elementary-aged children (ages 5–9)
• Experience leading a team of 5+ people and hiring/performing performance-based decisions
• Comfortable working in a school that rejects traditional teaching methods
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Coach Guides and students using performance data and direct feedback with measurable goals
• Facilitate one-hour live workshops for K-3 students on life skills such as public speaking, focus, collaboration, resilience
• Run motivation sessions linking goals to progress
• Build and refine playbooks to turn best practices into repeatable systems
• Train Guides on playbooks and model excellence as the team grows
