Job summary

Alpha reimagines schooling for faster learning and stronger mentorship. We seek a Program Director to coach Guides and students, own a cohort of K-3 learners, and drive daily progress through data-driven coaching.

You will run live workshops, develop scalable playbooks, and train Guides to maintain high standards as the team expands. In-person role with relocation support in Austin, TX or Scottsdale, AZ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, Child Development or related field.
• At least 5 years working with elementary-aged children (5–9).
• Experience leading a team of 5+ people with hiring/removal authority.
• Experience building or growing a program, team, or initiative from the ground up.
• Comfortable in a school that rejects traditional teaching methods.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Nice-to-have: Master's degree; track record with metrics and analytics; coaching other adults.

Responsibilities

• Coach Guides and students using performance data and direct feedback; hold accountability to goals.
• Facilitate one-hour live workshops for K-3 on life skills such as public speaking and focus.
• Run motivation sessions connecting goals to real academic progress.
• Build and refine playbooks to scale best practices company-wide.
• Train Guides on playbooks and model excellence in facilitation as the team grows.
