Job summary

The Salvation Army ARC Command is seeking a Program Coordinator to provide administrative, operational, and project coordination support to the Director of Program and the ARC Program Department across multiple locations. This role supports volunteer management, partnerships, events, compliance tracking, and documentation with a focus on organization and timely delivery.

Initially in-person for 90 days, the position may move to a flexible arrangement such as one remote day per week or a four-day

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of four years of administrative, program support, project coordination, or related experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level administrative support to the Director of Program and Program Department.
• Coordinate schedules, calendars, meetings, correspondence, and department communications.
• Maintain and organize program policies, manuals, forms, and guidance materials.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences while capturing detailed notes and action items.
• Monitor project timelines and follow up on deliverables to help ensure department goals are achieved.
• Assist with KPI tracking, reporting, and program performance initiatives.
• Support documentation requests related to legal, community partner, and former beneficiary inquiries.
• Track volunteer applications, background checks, Safe From Harm training, approvals, and compliance documentation.
• Maintain volunteer role descriptions and program resources.
• Monitor volunteer participation, hours, and impact metrics.
• Share recruitment resources and best practices with local centers.
