Job summary

United Way of Greater Cincinnati is seeking an Associate, Grants Management & Systems to support day-to-day grant administration. You will work under the Director, Impact, maintaining grant workflows in Foundant, tracking deadlines, validating data, and preparing reports for internal teams and funders.

This role involves collaborating with Finance, Impact Operations, and program staff to ensure timely, compliant grantmaking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, nonprofit management, business, information systems, or related field.
• 1–2 years of grant administration, nonprofit or public-sector operations, project coordination, or related experience.
• Experience using a grant management system to maintain records and run reports.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and productivity tools.
• Experience coordinating with multiple contributors under deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication for customer service or user support.

Responsibilities

• Support grantmaking from opportunity setup through closeout following established procedures.
• Maintain grant and partner records; track deadlines, approvals, and follow-up.
• Develop expertise in Foundant; assist with configuration, data maintenance, and reporting.
• Provide training and plain-language assistance to applicants, funded partners, and staff.
• Compile and reconcile grant data; prepare recurring reports and deliverables.
• Coordinate funding activities, including the City of Cincinnati Human Services Fund.
• Collaborate with Finance, Impact Operations, and program staff on timely grantmaking.
• Follow standards, protect confidential information, and drive process improvements.
