Qualifications

• Masters degree or higher in education.
• Certification in Ed. Administration (Principal/Assistant Principal License).
• Multilingual learning and special education preferred.
• Administrator experience preferred.
• Successful classroom teaching experience required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and supervision to teachers in delivering explicit targeted support to all students.
• Collaborate with the principal to supervise, support, and evaluate teachers.
• Lead teams of teachers in planning and analyzing curriculum, assessment and instruction.
• Ensure IEPs, progress reports, ML processes, policies and transition plans are timely and effective.
• Enforce a full repertoire of teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Create and oversee systems for academic success and life planning with the principal and admin staff.
• Work with teachers to create, analyze and monitor data systems to adapt instruction.
• Lead building based MTSS/RTI for students.
• Provide opportunities that prepare students for academic, personal, social and emotional success.
• Ensure educational services and programs meet high academic quality via student-centered practices.
• Lead professional development with staff to enhance educator abilities.
• Lead redesign to implement student-centered learning in classrooms.
• Engage families and community in student education.
• Be responsive to all students’ needs with principal collaboration.
• Assist in hiring for teaching and learning positions.
• Understand scheduling for students with disabilities and use of Student Information Systems.
• Knowledge of MCAS accommodations for multilingual learners; technology skills required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
