Job summary

Rocketship Public Schools is seeking a proactive Assistant Principal to drive academic achievement and build a college-preparatory culture across elementary grades. You will partner with the Principal to implement instructional vision, coach teachers, monitor data cycles, and strengthen school leadership across teams.

You will lead cycles of observation, feedback, and collaborative planning, with opportunities for career growth within a growing network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience teaching in an urban city classroom with significant gains.
• Deep knowledge of elementary instruction and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing Effective Educators by fostering a rigorous, college-prep culture and coaching teams.
• Engage in data-driven cycles and assessments to inform planning and personalize instruction.
• Ensure annual progress targets through data-informed management and collaboration with staff.
• Collaborate with Special Education to maximize instruction delivery in full inclusion models.
• Occasionally teach to model for teachers and participate in onboarding of new APs.
• Contribute to parent and family partnerships to boost student achievement.
• Promote a culture of feedback, professional growth, and collaboration across schools.
