Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with IDD in their homes and communities across East Bend and Winston-Salem, NC. The role involves helping with daily tasks, personal care, meals, transportation, and scheduling while maintaining accurate documentation in the client’s health record.

The position offers flexible hours, part-time and as-needed opportunities, and training in CPR/first aid, mindset, medication administration, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and community.
• Assist with housekeeping, meals, personal care, and employment support.
• Transport client to appointments and run errands.
• Plan and organize client schedules.
• Document and report in the electronic health record.
