Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in North Carolina to help individuals with IDD complete daily living tasks and achieve personal goals in home and community settings.

You’ll provide housekeeping, meal prep, personal care, transportation, schedule planning, and daily documentation in the health records system. Flexible Monday–Friday hours are available at East Bend or Winston-Salem with a starting wage of $12–$18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols knowledge.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or willingness to learn; reliable transportation and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and in the community.
• Assist with housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning; personal care.
• Transport the client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize the schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record.
