J&Y Law Firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Case Manager to support plaintiff elder abuse and personal injury matters. You will manage client intake, coordinate medical treatment, liaise with insurers and providers, and keep detailed notes in the case management system.

Responsibilities

• Places an introductory call to the client within 24 hours of case assignment and follows up if unavailable.
• Assesses case documentation and obtains missing items as needed.
• Reviews documentation for accuracy and ensures client understands it.
• Coordinates medical treatment and ensures treatment is ongoing with providers.
• Maintains client file with progress reports and claim status per guidelines.
• Answer calls promptly and professionally with a friendly greeting.
• Acts as liaison with adjusters, medical providers, and lien holders.
• Assists in finalizing property damage and obtaining rental or loss of use where applicable.
• Scans documents into the case system and sends lien requests via fax or email.
• Submits reports and bills to obtain med pay limits when applicable.
• Communicates with client at least twice monthly about claim progress and timelines.
• Updates case management system at each stage with pertinent information.
• Files governmental claims timely via certified mail and retains conformed copies.
• Calendars 45 days from mailing date for claims in system.
• Assesses if additional treatment is needed or approved for each case.
• Reviews police reports and medical records; forwards to Team Attorney on SI cases.
• For SI cases, follows up to obtain police reports and evidence, and determine policy limits.
• Drafts PPE questionnaires for pre‑procedure evaluations and compiles related costs.
• Reviews ISO and CBC with client and notes outcomes.
• Collects provider contact details and pre‑existing accident information as needed.
• Consults on loss wages claims and credit issues.
• Resolves problems with Pre‑Lit Manager on complex circumstances.
• Assists in negotiations for client cases when directed by attorney.
• Encourages clients to submit online reviews of their experience.
• Maintains professionalism and pursues high client satisfaction.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
