Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA seeks an Associate Executive Director to oversee member service initiatives, program development, and community service programs. This role evaluates existing programs for integration into the YMCA service model and supervises program directors while supporting member service and planning across the organization.

The position emphasizes revenue and expense oversight, staff development, and building a culture focused on great member experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in YMCA management and direct responsibility for member service and program development.
• Strong knowledge of fitness, group exercise, aquatics, and family service activities.
• Demonstrated success in membership/staff development.
• Experience in developing and motivating volunteers.
• Demonstrated ability in fiscal management.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise and recognize a staff team delivering on our mission through membership and program engagement strategies.
• Assist with defining, delegating and oversight of branch membership and program committees; publish annual chart of work, calendar, agenda, and minutes.
• Be accountable for revenue generation and expense controls while adhering to policies and procedures; utilize resources in membership and program development, fundraising and planning.
• Model Listen First skills to foster relationship development and a member-focused culture; train others to adopt this approach within the first year.
