MaxCyte, Inc is seeking a Scientist in Immunology & Non-viral Engineering to develop non-viral gene editing workflows in primary and immune cells using CRISPR/Cas, RNPs, mRNA, and DNA templates. You will engineer T cells, NK cells, and macrophages, assess editing outcomes, and work with cross-functional teams to advance internal R&D and platform innovation.

Qualifications

PhD or Master’s with substantial hands-on experience in non-viral gene editing.
Strong background in immune cell biology including isolation and activation.
Proficiency in flow cytometry and immune phenotyping design.
Hands-on experience with electroporation-based delivery and non-viral delivery of gene editing reagents.

Responsibilities

Design and execute non-viral gene editing workflows using CRISPR/Cas, RNPs, mRNA, and DNA templates.
Engineer primary human immune cells (T cells, NK cells, macrophages) and assess editing efficiency and function.
Perform activation, proliferation, cytokine profiling, cytotoxicity, and phenotyping assays.
Analyze flow cytometry, NGS, and molecular data and prepare summaries for teams and partners.
Collaborate with project management to ensure timely delivery of materials and results.
Provide scientific support to customer-facing teams including remote and onsite troubleshooting.
