Job summary

MaxCyte is seeking a Scientist to support research, development, and lab operations within the Gene Editing Sciences team. You will develop, validate, and execute genomic safety assays while ensuring data quality in a regulated environment.

The role involves CRISPR-based cell editing, NGS workflows, and data interpretation for internal teams and external clients, contributing to continuous process improvements and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology or genomics or related field.
• Experience with next generation sequencing and genome editing off-target methods.
• Molecular skills including primer design, PCR, qPCR, ddPCR.
• Proficiency with primary human cell culture and in vitro study design.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, validation, transfer and implementation of genomic safety assays.
• Execute genomic safety strategies including off-target discovery and genome integrity.
• Analyze, interpret and present data to internal teams and clients.
• Maintain mammalian cell culture and perform CRISPR-based editing.
• Train and mentor junior scientists and support continuous improvement.
