Job summary

Merck & Co. in Boston, MA seeks a Senior Clinical Director to lead late-stage immunology clinical development. You will shape strategies, design trials, and manage execution across multiple partners and functions.

The role requires senior-level clinical development experience, strong leadership, and collaboration with regulatory, medical affairs, and translational science teams. A broad track record in rheumatology/immune therapies is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of clinical and/or development experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in drug development or biomedical research.
• Demonstrated record of scientific scholarship and achievement.
• Prior experience in design and execution of phase 2 or 3 clinical trials in rheumatologic diseases preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic planning and directing clinical research activities for investigational compounds in Immunology.
• Manage cycle of clinical development from Indication selection to regulatory filing and publication.
• Monitor and manage ongoing clinical trials and new trials for investigational drugs.
• Analyze clinical findings to support safety, efficacy, and regulatory decisions.
• Participate in internal/external research project teams.
