Job summary

thyssenkrupp Automotive Technology is seeking a Manager for Centralized Immigration to lead North America-wide immigration governance, ensuring compliant sponsorship and strategic workforce planning.

You will partner with Business Unit HR, external counsel, and Global HR to implement standardized processes, dashboards, and risk monitoring while maintaining data privacy and attorney‑client privilege. Travel is limited to 10–20% within North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in HR, Business, Legal Studies, or related field.
• Master’s degree or HR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and govern a centralized immigration management framework for North America.
• Coordinate with external counsel on employment-based processes (H‑1B, L‑1, TN, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with USCIS, DOL, and DHS regulations; oversee I‑9 compliance.
• Maintain enterprise-wide immigration data, dashboards, and risk indicators for leadership.
• Manage relationships with external immigration law firms and optimize legal spend.
• Advise HR leadership on workforce planning related to visa timelines and sponsor strategy.
• Coordinate international assignments with global HR teams and align with tax/payroll considerations.
• Prepare quarterly executive summaries and brief senior HR and Legal partners on sponsorship risk.
