Job summary

Fragomen in Los Angeles seeks an Associate to support business immigration matters. You will develop case strategies, draft and review documents, counsel clients, and coordinate with global mobility teams. The role requires precise legal writing, strong client service, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

U.S. JD or LLM is required and membership in a U.S. state bar or DC bar is essential.

Qualifications

• U.S. JD or LLM required.
• Member of a U.S. state bar or Washington, DC bar.
• 2–3 years of Associate-level experience in immigration.
• Expanded practical understanding of immigration law.

Responsibilities

• Develop case strategies, including research, drafting, reviewing, counseling clients and triaging initiations.
• Regularly communicate with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural issues and strategy.
• Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.
• Assess eligibility for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status.
• Draft letters and legal documents based on precedents.
• Mentor junior staff and seek process improvements.
